Natural Gas Price DECREASE (December 1, 2005)

Lower Valley Energy is pleased to announce a successful filing for a natural gas rate decrease. In an effort to provide the lowest cost energy for its members, Lower Valley Energy filed with the Wyoming Public Service Commission for a natural gas rate decrease in November that was officially passed November 30th. The 9.6% decrease is based on a recent decline in wholesale prices. While Lower Valley Energy is hopeful that prices will continue to decline, the market remains extremely volatile.

Effective December 1st, 2005, the natural gas rate will decrease from $1.66 per therm to $1.50 per therm. With energy prices at high levels across the country, the Commission praised Lower Valley Energy’s proactive move to decrease rates so rapidly.
