Another Natural Gas Rate Decrease (February 13, 2006)
Lower Valley Energy is pleased to announce another natural gas rate decrease. In an effort to provide the lowest cost energy to its members, Lower Valley Energy filed with the Wyoming Public Service Commission (PSC) for a natural gas rate decrease that was officially approved February 10th. The 10% decrease is the second rate decrease this winter.
Effective for natural gas used on or after February 1st, 2006, the natural gas rate decreased from $1.50 per therm to $1.35 per therm. While the market for natural gas remains extremely volatile, Lower Valley Energy is hopeful that the downward trend in prices will continue. The new natural gas rate reflects more than an 18% decrease since prices peaked in November.
Lower Valley Energy is a non-profit cooperative utility owned by the patrons it serves with any margins returned to its members. Lower Valley Energy is committed to providing the least expensive, most reliable energy with the best customer service.
