Billing Terms and Charges

CR – Credit Balance.

Conversion Factor (Natural Gas and Propane) – Factor based upon a meter’s pressure and altitude.

Demand Charge – The charge applied for the average peak demand in a 15 minute period on large power accounts.

E – Estimated meter reading. Meter readings are estimated when safe, clear access to the meters is not possible and in meter read areas.

Energy Charge – The charge applied for energy used at the specified meter.

Monthly Base Charge – Offsets service and maintenance costs and exists regardless or usage and activity. This charge ensures that service is available regardless of monthly usage.

Multiplier – Converts units measured by a meter for actual billing usage.

Transfer Fee – A charge applied to first bill for all reconnects and transfers on new accounts.
