Peter Cook Resigns

After almost 33 years serving on the Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors, Peter Cook resigned his District 6 seat at the August board meeting last week. Cook left the Board for health reasons. A Lower Valley Energy Board of Director since the 1980’s, Cook helped navigate the cooperative through some interesting events and was instrumental in the current direction and position Lower Valley Energy is in today.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with Peter over the years and appreciate his significant dedication to this cooperative,” stated Lower Valley Energy President and CEO, Jim Webb. “We will all miss the opportunity to work with him,” Webb continued. Former Board Chairwoman Linda Schmidt went on to say, “Serving on the LVE board of directors with Pete has been a wonderful experience for me. He taught us all about patience, humility and concern for each other. We will miss him.”
