Rod R. Jensen New Board Chairman
Jackson, WYOMING (8/30/2010) – With Dean S. Lewis’ retirement as Chairman of the Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors, the first order of business for the August Board Meeting was elections. Former Vice Chairman Rod R. Jensen was elected to the Chairman position with Peter. L. Cook as the new Vice Chairman. Linda Schmidt remains as Secretary/Treasurer.
Dean Lewis will remain as a Lower Valley Energy Board of Director. Dean’s 4 years of guidance as Chairman helped strengthen Lower Valley Energy as the local energy cooperative. Some of the projects which occurred under his Chairmanship include the natural gas pipeline from Big Piney to Jackson, the 3-year Swift Creek Hydro Project, and the early phases of the Caribou Transmission line.
Lower Valley Energy is a cooperative utility – owned by those they serve with any margins returned to its members.
