Teton Village/Airport Outage Update – 4:16pm
Jackson, WY (2-9-17 4:16 pm) Teton Village/Airport Outage Update
Thank you again to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and their crews for their continued help with our efforts with the downed transmission poles.
We currently have 4 of the 17 transmissions poles replaced. We will continue to set poles this evening and all day tomorrow.
Weather is continuing to add some complexity to the restoration of power along with the limited work space at the Teton Village site. Road closures are preventing hardware from Denver from entering the valley. The 25 linemen from the 5 neighboring utilities brought equipment, materials and expertise and we have made equipment runs to both Salt Lake City and Boise overnight.
The Teton Village Fire Department and facilities we energized today.
We are continuing to work on the Solitude subdivision – we currently have energized approximately 1/3 of the area.
We wish to thank again all the local and regional entities who have without hesitation sent tremendous resources to help us, most especially the 5 neighboring utilities: High Plains Power, Idaho Falls Power, Fall River Rural Electric, Bonneville Power, and Wasatch Energy, along with the crews from the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. We truly appreciate the patience, support and understanding of this community we are proud to serve.
