Customer Service Training with Shepard Humphries
(January 28, 2020) At Lower Valley Energy our core values are safety, reliability, affordability and great customer service. While we are the only electricity and natural gas providers in our service territory, we nevertheless strive to always be the best we can be. This year we invited an expert from Jackson Hole-based 5-Star Customer Service Training to lead workshops in our Jackson and Afton offices. Shepard Humphries came highly recommended, and was tasked to, “help us become even better at serving our valuable member/owners.”
The training was fun, valuable and informative. Our employees were completely engaged and picked up many tips and tricks about great customer service. We were reminded of why we all do what we do, from management to our supervisors, linemen and support staff. Our job is not only to be great at what we do, but also to make sure we are listening to you, our valued member/owners. We are each responsible for making our environment a better place, and sometimes a smile can make someone’s day.
Our presenter, Shepard Humphries, was engaging, knowledgeable and offered new ideas that went beyond our customer service training of the past. We were introduced to reading body language, listening more deeply to what our member/owners’ needs really are, and various strategies on communicating best with our many demographics.
