COVID-19 UPDATE – Economic Resources

While office lobby access was closed we will be in office to answer phones and process drop box payments.

We are available via email to take care of your power planning needs.

We have our full response team available to restore power and natural gas from outages, and for new service work.

Below are some economic assistance programs for both our commercial and residential members:

Small Business Loan Resources

Here is some information on the US Small Business Administration (SBA) current loan programs.  Please visit the SBA website for additional guidance and resources. (The first two programs can be used to pay utility bills.)

  • Paycheck Protection Program: The SBA Loan prioritizes millions of Americans employed by small businesses by authorizing up to $349 billion toward job retention and certain other    This loan can be converted to a grant if you keep the same number on the payroll at the same wage for 8 weeks.
  • Economic Injury Disaster Loans and Loan Advance: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, small business owners are eligible to apply for a loan advance of up to $10,000. Click here for an application.
  • SBA Debt Relief: will provide a reprieve to small businesses as they overcome the challenges created by this health crisis.

·         SBA Express Bridge Loans: The SBA Express Bridge Loan allows small businesses who currently have a business relationship with an SBA Express Lender to access up to $25,000 with less paperwork.

Residential Resources

Here is some information on the resources currently available to our residential members.

  • Lower Valley Energy’s Operation Round- Up: a fund set up by LVE and funded by participating customers to help members pay their LVE bills. The fund is administered by a third-party community board. Click here for an application.
  • Wyoming Low Income Energy Assistance Programs: statewide program whose purpose is to help low- and fixed-income families and individuals pay their heating bills during the winter months. Click here for more information.
  • One 22: a local nonprofit whose goal is to get help where it is needed most, as quickly as possible. Anyone who lives or works in Teton County, Wyoming and has been affected by this pandemic and the resulting economic crisis can apply for COVID-19 relief.  Click here for more information and application.

·         Energy Share of Wyoming: a private, non-profit organization established to help people in hardship circumstances with energy-related emergencies.  Click here for more information and application.
