2020 Annual Meeting Election Results

Lower Valley Energy’s 2020 Annual Meeting, the cooperative’s first ever virtual Annual Meeting, was held yesterday at the Lower Valley Energy Afton office. District seats 1, 6 and 7 were up for election.
Senator Dan Dockstader was re-elected for the District 1 seat.
Incumbent Scott Anderson of District 6 retained his seat.
Long-time employee and Board of Director Linda Schmidt of District 7 chose not to run for her open seat. Ray Elser ran uncontested for the District 7 Board of Director seat and won.
Lower Valley Energy wishes to thank the candidates who ran for the Board of Director seats. Board elections and representation are a hallmark of the cooperative model.
Reports were presented by Board Chairman Fred Brog, Board Secretary/Treasurer Senator Dan Dockstader, and President/CEO Jim Webb. Lower Valley Energy generated $52.6 million in electric revenues and $10 million in natural gas revenues for a total of $62.6 million in 2019. The cooperative exceeded its target with margins of $4.7 million. As a pillar of the cooperative model, Lower Valley Energy returned $4.2 million in margins back to members.
