Due to an increase in commodity costs for natural gas, with wholesale prices nearly doubling in January, the Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors has made the necessary decision to increase rates for the fuel type. The commodity cost is a component that makes up a large part of the natural gas rate and is something that is monitored daily. As of February 1, 2022, natural gas rates will increase approximately $0.12. As your energy provider, we want you to know that we are doing everything we can to keep your rates as low as possible.
