A Message to Our Community: Natural Gas Rate Adjustment

Afton, WY – We understand that energy costs touch every household in our community, which is why we’re reaching out with care and transparency about a necessary change to our rates.

Because of the rising commodity cost of natural gas, we are raising the fuel component of our natural gas rate. Despite our best efforts to absorb these industry-wide pressures, the Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors has made the decision to increase our natural gas rates by approximately $0.082 to cover our costs. The rate increase is effective immediately.

We want you to know that this decision wasn’t made lightly. As your community-owned energy provider, we remain deeply committed to providing reliable service at the most affordable rates possible. Our team continues to work diligently every day to find ways to minimize the impact of market fluctuations on your monthly bills.
