Print(Afton, WY) The Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors has approved an immediate adjustment to our natural gas rates, effective July 1st, 2025. This increase of approximately $0.0542 per unit reflects the rising commodity costs we face in today’s energy market.
Natural gas commodity prices have continued to climb industry-wide, creating cost pressures that we can no longer absorb without affecting our cooperative’s financial stability. After careful consideration of all available options, the Board determined that this rate adjustment is essential to maintain reliable service while covering our operational costs.
As a member-owned cooperative, Lower Valley Energy operates on a not-for-profit basis. Every decision we make prioritizes the long-term interests of our member-owners. We continue to:
