Open Seat – Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors

The Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors invites qualified District 2 members to apply for an immediate board opening that offers the opportunity to help guide your community’s energy cooperative and ensure reliable, affordable services for our member-owners. Interested candidates should submit a letter of intent and resume to Julia Shumway at jshumway@lvenergy.com by August 10, 2025. The Board will interview applicants to select a representative who will serve until the June 2026 Annual Meeting, at which time this seat will be open for general election. This is a meaningful chance to make a direct impact on your community’s energy future while gaining valuable governance experience.

District #2 comprises all areas north of Strawberry Creek Road and White Tail lane. The eastern boundary is Highway 89 to the Teton County boundary in the Snake River Canyon. All areas west of Highway 89 in Etna and Thayne are included in this district. This district includes the town of Alpine at the municipal boundary, along with Freedom, Wayan, Irwin, Swan Valley and Lane’s Creek.
