Rescuing Randy: Our Annual Pole Top & Bucket Truck Rescue Training

If you were driving through Afton this morning and saw a hard hat convention, bucket trucks, and someone dangling off a power pole – don’t worry, everything was under control!

Today our crews completed their annual pole top rescue and bucket truck rescue training, as required by OSHA. This hands-on training ensures our linemen are prepared to safely rescue a coworker in an emergency situation at height – a critical skill in our line of work.

Congratulations to Jayce Wolfley for posting the fastest time and putting together a smooth, confident run up the pole to rescue “Randy” – our trusty training dummy. Jayce is also our newest Journeyman Lineman. Well done!
