Natural Gas Rate Increase – March 21

(March 16, 2022) Afton, WY – Due to continued pressure this entire winter in commodity costs for natural gas, the Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors has made the difficult but necessary decision to increase rates.  Recent small increases, versus one larger increase, reflect our constant monitoring of the exceedingly volatile market this winter.  The commodity cost is a component that makes up a large part of the natural gas rate and is something we monitor daily.  As of March 21, 2022, natural gas rates will increase approximately $0.063. We do not take rate increases lightly, and as your energy provider, we want you to know that we are doing everything we can to keep your rates as low as possible.
